UN-credentialed interpreters for conference, legal, medical, and business contexts
English↔Spanish specialists with verifiable UN and UNESCO event experience. Same-day emergency availability for medical and legal situations in Barcelona.
UN & UNESCO Credentials
Served as liaison officers at formal UN and UNESCO events. Verifiable credentials from international organisations — not generic "international experience" claims.
Same-Day Emergency
For urgent medical, legal, or business needs in Barcelona, we can provide interpreters within hours. Scheduled bookings with 5–10 business days notice.
MAEC Sworn Interpreting
Sworn interpretation credentials from Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Court-admissible for legal proceedings, depositions, and official documents.
Modes of Interpreting
Simultaneous — the interpreter speaks while the speaker continues, using booth headsets. Used in conferences, large meetings, and multinational events. Requires the highest skill level.
Consecutive — the speaker pauses after segments and the interpreter delivers the message. Used in smaller meetings, negotiations, legal proceedings, and one-on-one consultations.
Liaison/Escort — walking interpretation for site visits, informal meetings, and small group discussions. No formal booth or timing constraints.
Remote (OPI/VRI) — over-the-phone or video remote interpreting for emergency medical needs, quick business calls, and last-minute consultations. Available same-day, often within hours.
Sectors We Serve
Medical and healthcare — English-speaking patients in Barcelona hospitals and clinics. Patient safety depends on accurate medical interpretation. Same-day emergency interpreting available.
Legal and court proceedings — depositions, trials, and proceedings where accuracy is legally binding. Sworn interpreters where required.
International business — negotiations, boardroom meetings, and multinational operations. Professional interpreting that ensures deals close without miscommunication.
Conference and diplomatic — UN and UNESCO event experience. Liaison officers at formal international events managing multilingual communication at the highest levels.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Translation is written, interpreting is spoken in real time. Translation allows time for research and revision. Interpreting requires instant understanding and cultural judgment on the fly. Both demand expertise, but interpreting is more complex because there is no time to pause or edit.
- Not for legal, medical, or formal business contexts. Untrained interpreters miss nuance, introduce bias, and create liability. Professional interpreters hold confidentiality agreements and legal accountability that family members cannot provide.
- For scheduled needs such as conferences, depositions, and formal meetings, we need 5–10 business days notice. For emergency medical or business interpreting, we can often provide same-day or next-day coverage within hours.
- Over 25 language pairs. English↔Spanish is our specialty. We also offer Dutch, German, French, Catalan, Portuguese, and more. Contact us to confirm availability for your specific language pair.
- Yes. We hold MAEC credentials for Spanish court-admissible sworn interpretation. For other language pairs and jurisdictions, we provide certified interpreters with appropriate credentials.
- Pricing varies by language pair, duration, urgency, and specialisation. Medical interpreting typically costs more than business interpreting due to higher liability and training requirements. Conference interpreting, especially simultaneous, is higher still. Contact us for a detailed quote.
- All our interpreters sign confidentiality agreements. Medical and legal interpreting are held to the highest confidentiality standards. We never share client information or details of interpreted communications.
